Recycling as Sustainable Resource Management: Magnum Print Solutions joins WSRA

Seattle, WA February 16, 2012 – Magnum Print Solutions is proud to announce its recent membership in the Washington State Recycling Association.

“Magnum recognizes the excellent work promoted by the WSRA.  The educational outreach and projects sponsored by the organization have tremendous impact on the quality and quantity of recycling in our communities,” stated Magnum President and CEO Steve Seavecki, “As a manufacturer of laser toner cartridges we rely on recycled materials as component pieces and understand the value of recycling and the environmental cost of business as usual.”

In 2011 Magnum recycled over 22,755 pounds of metal in addition to other materials. Magnum’s online Carbon Calculator (magnumlaser.com) details the amount of materials – oil, water, trees, landfill space and greenhouse gases that can be saved when using environmentally friendly toner cartridges.

“The WSRA members include local business and community recycling experts,” said Seavecki, “we look forward to learning how we can assist our customers in their continued recycling efforts by increasing their knowledge and introducing new recycling practices.”

Local Business, Magnum, Calculates Office Carbon Footprint and Suggests Ways to “Toner” it Down

Seattle, WA November 9, 2011 - On November 15th join the America Recycles movement by measuring your office’s carbon footprint. Seattle business, Magnum Print Solutions, invites local Puget Sound businesses to calculate their Carbon Footprint regarding toner usage at www.magnumlaser.com.

“Magnum congratulates our customers in the Puget Sound for allowing us to recycle over 7,000 pounds of toner cartridge parts in the last three months,” stated Magnum CEO Steve Seavecki. In response to customers’ interest in having a measurable way to determine their contribution to reducing carbon emissions and reducing landfill waste, Magnum automated industry statistics and research to develop a Carbon Calculator for toner cartridges. The Carbon Footprint Calculator computes the amount of oil, raw materials, trees, water and gas saved when using remanufactured toner cartridges versus single use toner cartridges. And it adds up quickly, three quarts of oil and up to 9 pounds of materials are conserved every time a remanufactured toner cartridge is used.

By using toner cartridges manufactured and recycled by Magnum, one Magnum customer has saved the following over the last 12 months: 3,600 quarts of oil, 10,800 pounds of raw material, 4,800 pounds of recycled material kept out of local landfills, 8,250 gallons of water and 1,440 pounds of greenhouse gases.

According to Seavecki, “most people don’t believe they can impact global warming. However, the simple switch to locally manufactured and recycled toner cartridges can make a significant impact on the local economy as well as the environment.” Committed to the recycle proposition, Magnum offers to pick up toner cartridges from any company in the Puget Sound in an effort to reduce the landfill waste and reduce carbon emissions.

Magnum invites organizations to visit our website to see how much they could be helping the environment. The Carbon Footprint Calculator is available on the home page of the Magnum Print Solutions website at www.magnumlaser.com.

Magnum Print Solutions Makes the 2011 Inc. 500/5000

NEW YORK, August 21, 2011 - Magnum Print Solutions has been included in the 2011 Inc. magazines’ 500/5000 list - Inc.’s annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America.

For more than 30 years, Inc.’s list has served as evidence of the significant accomplishments of enterprises.  And, more than ever, this year’s list is a testament to the creativity, resilience, and tenacity of America’s top entrepreneurs.

As an Inc. 500/5000 honoree, Magnum Print Solutions shares a prestigious pedigree with such notable alumni as Intuit, Microsoft, Jamba Juice, Timberland, Cliff Bar, Patagonia, Zipcar, and scores of other powerhouses.

A large percentage of Magnum’s growth and the driving force in making the Inc. 500/5000 list can be directly attributed to customers switching from expensive OEM toner to Magnum brand toner that is manufactured in Seattle, Washington. Customers are saving 30% on their toner while experiencing the same quality of OEM toner. In addition, by using Magnum toner cartridges, a customer will reduce their carbon footprint by 70%.

“Our compelling value proposition is even more attractive during these trying economic times. The combination of saving money, creating local jobs, adding to the local tax base and reducing customers’ carbon footprint is too compelling to ignore. Magnum offers a mixture of products and services that can not be matched by any other company in the Pacific Northwest,” said Stephen Seavecki, President and CEO of Magnum Print Solutions

Magnum named top 100 fastest growing company 2010

Magnum Print Solutions Ranks Number 59 on the 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies List Released by Puget Sound Business Journal

2010 Companies Honored and Rankings Announced

SEATTLE, WA – Oct. 14, 2010 – Puget Sound Business Journal announced that Magnum Print Solutions ranked number 59 on the 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies list at an awards event at Meydenbauer Center on Oct. 13.  The event, which drew nearly 500 people, announced and honored all 100 companies on the list and revealed each company’s ranking.  The 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies are listed, with select companies profiled, in a special publication of the Business Journal on Oct. 15.

The Fastest-Growing Private Companies program was launched 16 years ago by the Puget Sound Business Journal to identify and recognize companies speeding to the top of their industries.  To be eligible, companies must: be privately held and headquartered in Washington; have at least $500,000 in net revenue in 2007; show an overall growth from 2007 to 2009 fiscal years; and agree to have their CPA confirm their net operating revenues with Puget Sound Business Journal.

"The companies that make this list are, by definition, among the most dynamic in our region," said Business Journal Publisher Emory Thomas Jr. "Especially this year, they have beaten the odds imposed by the Great Recession, making membership on this elite list all the more impressive. These companies are showing all of us what qualities it takes to grow in challenging times."

“We believe our unique and compelling value proposition is even more attractive during these trying economic times. Magnum offers a combination of products and services that can not be matched in the marketplace,” said Stephen Seavecki, President, Magnum Print Solutions.

Magnum Print Solutions recorded a 44% rate of growth for the period evaluated by the Business Journal. A large percentage of this growth can be directly attributed to customers switching from expensive OEM toner to Magnum brand toner that is manufactured in Seattle, Washington. Customers are saving 25-30% on their toner spending, while experiencing the same quality of OEM toner.

Another area contributing to Magnum’s growth is in the sale and on-site service of office equipment such as copiers, printers, scanners and faxes. The fact that Magnum can be a single source for the sale and service of any brand is a huge benefit to customers that have legacy equipment from multiple manufacturers.

This is the second consecutive year Magnum Print Solutions has made the 100 Fastest-Growing Private Company list. Last year Magnum was ranked as the 25th fastest growing company with a growth rate of 120%.

The 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies program is presented by the Puget Sound Business Journal and sponsored by Chase, Lane Powell, Robert Half International, and Sound Mental Health.
